LocalBusiness schema, explained
LocalBusiness describes a business that customers can visit or that serves a local area, such as a dentist, plumber or restaurant. Google requires only name and address; url, telephone, geo, opening hours and priceRange are recommended. Use the most specific subtype and one block per location.
What it's for
Schema.org defines LocalBusiness as "a particular physical business or branch of an organization", such as a restaurant, a particular branch of a restaurant chain, a branch of a bank, a medical practice, a club or a bowling alley. It is a subtype of both Organization and Place. Google uses it for business details such as hours, departments and, for sites that review other businesses, reviews (Google: Local business).

Common mistakes
- Review stars for your own business. Google says pages using LocalBusiness or Organization markup are ineligible for star ratings when the business controls the reviews about itself, including through an embedded Google or Facebook reviews widget (review rules).
- Generic
LocalBusinesswhen a specific subtype exists. - Coordinates for the city centre, or with fewer than 5 decimal places.
- One block listing every branch. Each location should have its own page,
@id, address, phone and hours. - Hours, name or phone that differ from your Google Business Profile. Keep every source saying the same thing.
- Times in 12-hour format (
5pm). Use17:00.
