About Schema Institute

Schema Institute is a free reference to the schema.org types businesses use most, written for marketers, developers and business owners who want to know what each type does and what Google actually reads.

Who built it. Schema Institute is written by Joel Maldonado (Joel David Maldonado), founder of Neural Command, LLC, which runs NRLC.ai. Neural Command, LLC is at 1639 11th St, Suite 110-A, Santa Monica, CA 90404, and can be reached at contact@neuralcommandllc.com.

How it's checked. Every page links to the schema.org definition and the Google Search Central page it relies on. Google's requirements change; each page notes the "last updated" date of the Google documentation it was checked against, and status notes (such as the end of FAQ rich results) reflect the Search Central updates log as of October 2026. Spot an error or a change? Email the address above.

What it isn't. It isn't a complete copy of schema.org, which has hundreds of types and properties, and it isn't official Google documentation. When in doubt, the linked sources win.

Related. Schema Technology is a free generator and validator for the same types. Ontology Courses has short lessons on entities and knowledge graphs.
